The meeting will address critical issues for prescribed fire practitioners and advocates, with a special emphasis on north Georgia and its unique terrain, population, and forest types. We hope you will plan to join us!

Thank You for Joining the 2021 GPFC Annual Meeting

The 2021 Annual Meeting has been wrapped up! Thank you for all who attended. We hope you received some valuable information to assist with your prescribed burning practices. If you missed it, we will have recordings posted below as soon as we can. Keep checking back!

In the meantime, there are a couple more upcoming field trips (see Field Trips section below). Also, take note of the upcoming date for the 2022 meeting for North Georgia, to be held June 9 in Jasper.

Continuing Education

Continuing Forestry Education credits (3.5 hours), Master Timber Harvester credits (3.0 hours), and Certified Wildlife Biologist credits (4.0 hours) will be available to those attending the entire meeting.

To receive Forestry or Timber credits:

  • Include your license number(s) during registration
  • You will receive a confirmation email with a link unique to you.  Use that link to attend the meeting.  If you do not use your unique link, there is no way to verify your attendance.
  • Attend the meeting in its entirety

To receive Wildlife Biologist credits:

  • Following the meeting, log your completed hours on your Renewal application or your Professional Development Certificate application.

If the above steps were taken, you will automatically receive continuing education credits. If you do not receive your Forestry or Timber certificate one week post-meeting, contact jessica.mccorvey@jonesctr.org.
